How it works

Create a vault

Set a master password and paste your details as plain Label: value lines, or import a résumé PDF and let the extension draft the profile.

Open a form, click the icon

Form Pilot reads the fields and matches them to your details. It takes about a second.

Review and apply

The plan lists each field with its confidence. Untick anything, then apply. Or right-click the page and fill with a profile in one step, with a higher confidence bar.

Privacy by construction

Nothing leaves your device

Reading the form and matching your details happens inside your browser. No servers, no account, no tracking.

Locked with your password

Your details are encrypted on your computer and only your password opens them. The extension locks itself again after a while.

Unlock with Touch ID

Use Touch ID or Windows Hello instead of typing the password each time. The password keeps working too.

Start from a résumé

Drop in a PDF and get a draft profile to check and save. The first import downloads a language pack once, about 600 MB; after that it works offline.

Download the preview

These builds are not signed by the browser stores yet, so each browser needs its developer switch. Your vault stays on the device either way.

Chrome and Edge

  1. Download and unzip the package.
  2. Open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode.
  3. Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.

  1. Download the package, keep it zipped.
  2. Open about:debugging and pick This Firefox.
  3. Click Load Temporary Add-on… and pick the zip. It stays until Firefox restarts.

Safari on macOS

  1. Download and unzip. Opening Form Pilot.app is refused at first: click Done, then System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. The preview is not notarized yet.
  2. In Safari, enable the Develop menu, then Develop → Allow Unsigned Extensions.
  3. Safari → Settings → Extensions, turn on Form Pilot.

Good to know

Languages
Forms in English work best. Résumé import understands most languages.
Buttons
Form Pilot never presses Submit or any other button for you. You always do that yourself.
Touch ID
Works with Apple Passwords and Windows Hello. If 1Password manages your passkeys, use the password for now.
